I’ve never really known what primer would work best for my skin – I’m quite oily in some places and dry in others and I can never really find one that works for me. That is, until now.
My friend Lisa had originally told me about the Nivea Post Shave Balm as a primer and initially I thought she must be mad. A skincare product for men as a primer? No chance! But she was right.
The tiniest amount of this smoothed across the entire face helps create the perfect base ready for foundation. I find it mattifies in all the right places and doesn’t dry out my dehydrated areas either.
My skin almost feels tacky before foundation, a feeling I like when it comes to my primers. Tackiness says to me that it’s going to hold onto my foundation and not let go, which is exactly what it does!
My only gripe with this is the manly smell to it. Sometimes I will get a whiff throughout the day. But I can get over that.
For £3.52 you get 100ml of product, when the average drugstore primer is around £8 for 30ml.
Its ridiculously good value for money, does an amazing job and will last me a really, really long time.
If you’re looking for a new primer, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a go, or better still, steal some off your other half…
