Flawless Foundation : L’Oreal Paris Nude Magique Cushion Foundation

I’d been wanting to get my hands on some cushion foundation for a while and was sooo excited to see that L’Oreal had taken inspiration from Korean brands and developed their own cushion foundation.

The L’Oreal Paris Nude Magique Cushion Foundation (Wow, long name!) is one of the first to hit UK drug stores and is basically a sponge drenched in foundation housed within a sturdy little compact.

But what’s the point in the cushion? Is it just another gimmick product? I thought that at first, but it really isn’t.

I’m not too sure how it works, but this foundation is unlike any other I’ve tried. It’s lightweight yet you can build up a good coverage. It’s got a dewy finish but is also long lasting. But most importantly for me, it’s comfortable to wear on the skin.

The cushion itself is said to make the overall formula of the foundation lighter and makes it almost impossible for you to cake on your foundation, #Winning!

I don’t love the sponge that this compact comes with, instead I apply this using one of my beauty sponges and get an even, glowing finish to the skin. As I said earlier, it’s easy to build up coverage with this, but you can have it as natural as you want, too. It doesn’t settle into fine lines, bunch up around the nose or chin or cling to any dry patches. If anything, this formula is actually quite moisturising.

You get much less product in the compact compared to your average foundation, but that’s OK, because you use much less product in each application, and there’s virtually no waste either!

When your cushion seems to be running out slightly, just flip it over and a-voila! Loads more product for you to use.

I hope the UK sees some more Korean influence in the drug store!

I was lucky enough to receive a couple of Korean Cushion products from my friend who lives in Korea – Thanks Lisa!

I’ll be reviewing them soon, watch this space!
