Nars Sheer Glow

I've been wanting to try about more from high end brands recently - even though I've always been a drugstore girl at heart.

Nars is a brand I've never really tried before and the Sheer Glow foundation kept creeping up in favourites posts all over the show, so I took the plunge and purchased it. I have to say, the girl at the counter at Selfridges in Manchetser (Sorry, I didn't catch her name) was very helpful and chose the perfect shade for me - Montblanc.

This foundation says it all in the name - Sheer Glow. It claims to contain powerful antioxidants to protect skin and turmeric to improve skins radiance.

I tent to only reach for this on good skin days because its so sheer. Layering it up would work to cover spots and blemishes, but because it feels so weightless on the skin, I don't want to build it up too much.

It gives a glowy, lit from within finish that I struggle to get from many other foundations, and it doesn't contain any of that annoying radiance boosting glitter that some foundations use either.

Application was initially quite tricky for me. I find using a brush doesn't quite give the best finish, in fact I found it almost streaky.

The best method I found was applying dots all over my face and blending it in with your fingers. I'd then go in and finish it off with my Real Techniques sponge. This method leaves the skin with a gorgeous, flawless finish - no settling into fine lines, bunching around the nose or uneven fading.

It also works really well with other products too - I have no problem layering powers or cream products on top - everything does its job without interfering with each other.

I did make the schoolboy error of not buying a pump - at least I know for next time.

This gorgeous foundation has made me want to try more out from Nars - what would you recommend I try next?
