Becoming a Brow Artist with L'Oreal

I don't think brows will ever go out of fashion. Nowadays, you go bold or you go home. And as a tweezer-phobe I'm loving it.

I've been in love with my Soap and Glory Archery brow pencil for a long time, and this little combo is by no means replacing it. I just thought that I wouldn't mind having a powder back in my stash, because that's originally all I ever used on my brows.

I think pencils give a completely different look to powders - they offer more precision and structure, but I do feel they can look too drawn on. Don't get me wrong, I love clean lines and sharp edges, but sometimes I want a little more of a natural look.

That's where powders come in. Although powders can take longer to apply (not great for on the go application either) they offer a natural finish that I just can't seem to get from a pencil. The L'oreal Brow Artist Genius Kit really is pretty genius. Within it, you get a wax, a powder, a double ended brush and spoolie and a mini pair of tweezers. Everything you need for the perfect brow. .Like I said, it does take a little more time to do your brows using this kit, but the end results are worth it. I love the soft focus the kit gives, whilst still giving you a good overall finish,

The only problem I have with powders like this is that I am a face toucher / rubber. If I don't do another step to lock the power in, I end up with two short, stubby and wonky brows. Which is exactly why I picked up the L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper.

This is pretty much just a glorified brow mascara, however I'm not too sure that's how they market it. I got it in clear, as I didn't feel that the step for holding my brows in place needed any added colour. I think this is supposed to rival things such as the Gimme Brow by Benefit, which adds tiny fibers to plump out your brows, but I don't see that. I don't mind though, because I want it for setting and no much else. So for that purpose, its pretty good!

You can pick up the Brow Artist Plumper for £5.99 and the Brow Artist Genius Kit for £9.99. They're currently on 3 for 2 on L'Oreal cosmetics at Boots too!
