Everyone loves a good Benefit launch and this one was no exception. The word on the street was a mascara that was going to be BETTER than They're Real, with more volume, lift an curl. A mascara that has been years in the making, backed by tireless research, making it the best mascara on the earth?!
Well maybe I'm hyping it up abit too much with that last statement, but it is pretty darn good.
I'm almost certain I'm not the only one who ran to their local Newsagents as soon as they heard that Elle magazine were giving away these with their £4 March edition, and I was lucky enough to find one still on the shelf. £4 for a mini Benefit mascara -Even if I don't read the magazine, at that price you can't complain!
When I picked this up, I was struggling with an eye infection so I had to have a good amount of will power to not give it a go. Once It had cleared up, I couldn't wait to give it a test drive!
The name 'Roller Lash' comes from the fact that the brush is designed like an old velcro roller - It grips your lashes and curls at the same time. This is massively different to They're Real and work really well, but I am pretty sure I've seen a brush like this somewhere else...
ANYWAY, the brush really works. It hooks and holds onto lashes, lifting them whilst setting the curl in the formula. It took some getting used to the unusual shape, and with the formula being so new I did get some transfer onto my eyelids, but I do think this is one of them mascaras that will get better with time.
Overall it gives a much more subtle look. Lash length is phenomenal, curl is amazing however you don't get the same volume as They're real - which I like. It's long lasting and not as much of a bitch to get off as they're real either. I can definitely see myself picking up the full size when they go on sale!
Have you tried this mascara out?
