Its that time of the month again where I share with you the contents of this Months Birchbox. For the last few months I've really been loving what Birchbox had to offer, but now I feel like the excitement and surprise is wearing off. Especially with this box.
It just didn't do it for me. I'm abit fed up of getting food samples for one and getting a second sample of a product I really don't like - AND reviewed on their feedback that I didn't like it is really beginning to grind my gears.
I've been weighing up for a while whether or not I'm going to cancel my subscription and use the £12.50 for something else - I think this box was the decider for me.
Not that the contents are completely rubbish, don't get me wrong. I do think that Birchboxes are a great way to try new brands and products that you wouldn't or couldn't normally afford. But this particular box has left me really uninspired. Here's what I received:
- Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum - Value - £14.25
- Chia Co® - The Chia Co. Oats + Chia - Value - £1
- Liz Earle Botanical Shine Shampoo 200ML - Value £2.50
- theBalm® cosmetics Stainiac in Beauty Queen Value - £2.50
- London Butterflies Body Butter Soufflé Value - £3.50
- Wild About Beauty Golden Skin Glow - FULL SIZE - £21
OVERALL VALUE : £44.75
Food samples are becoming to annoy me too. I almost always give them to my boyfriend, and I'm pretty sure he will be getting this one too!
If your a long term reader of the blog, you'll know that I didn't really like th Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish and the Botanical Shine Shampoo smells just like it. It's a handy size and I'll get some use out of it in my swim bag, but not something I'd like to repurchase. Same goes for the London Butterflies Butter Souffle. And it's full price is ridiculous for a body butter, so that definitely isn't going to be repurchased!
The only item I've really liked is the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum, but I knew I'd love this because everything I've ever tried from Caudalie has been amazing.
But overall, I'm getting bored of Birchbox. I think I could spend £12.50 in a much better way, do you?
