Currently Loving

I haven’t done a favourites post in what feels like forever and recently I’ve found myself falling for some new and old products. I think it’s about time I started sharing my favourites on a more regular basis with you lot!

Let me know if you like these sorts of posts and I’ll make sure I pencil these in more often!

Over the last few months I’ve noticed that I have been reaching for the same products over and over again and with a stash like mine, using the same products continuously is quite a feat!

First up is something from Avon that I have been using as sparingly as possible as it is just about to run out. This sugar plum and vanilla body lotion was limited edition last Christmas and I really wish I’d stocked up. I actually got this as a present from my sister in law (thanks Aimee!) along with the shower gel, which obviously disappeared rather quickly. This lotion is perfect for the colder months for giving that extra little bit of hydration, whilst not being so rich that it takes an age to soak in. The smell of this is by far the nicest smelling body lotion I have ever tried. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for this to return to the catalogue!

Next up I’ve been loving a TIGI shampoo and mask combination – both of these are from the amazing Capital Hair and Beauty competition I won back in July. You can check out my winnings here. On the whole, my hair is quite healthy, if not sometimes dry and on the fine side. The TIGI Bedhead UrbanAntidotes Reboot Shampoo is for ‘Way out of whack scalps in need of a reset’. This minty shampoo leaves my scalp feeling tingly, moisturised and nourished. I definitely feel like because of this scalp stimulation, my hair seems to be growing quite quickly too – something I’m definitely not complaining about! It’s quite clarifying and leaves  a really fresh scent which lingers all day, something I really love about shampoos. The re-energise treatment mask is ‘perfect for normal hair that needs a wakeup call’ and it definitely does just that. After using this, my hair feels silky and smooth, my colour is much more vibrant and ends feel nourished. I don’t normally enjoy products that give added shine to my hair, but this combination give me sleek, shiny hair whilst giving me volume and texture. No idea how they’ve done it!

I have also been loving my (completely manky) beauty blender! Foundation application with this is just out of this world! With minimal effort, you can create a completely flawless base.

I’ve been pretty obsessed with highlighters of late, with my favourite being the Benefit’s Watts Up Mini I received in the ‘Bronzed goddess” kit. Even on my super pale complexion, this bronze based cream stick gives the most gorgeous ‘glow from within’ that I adore.

Very recently I have been having trouble drifting off to sleep, and the This Works Breath In Sleep Therapy roller ball has been doing the trick to send me off into a nice, natural sleep. You just pop this on your pulse points and breathe in the calming scent of lavender and eucalyptus and you’ll be in the land of nod in no time.

I’ve discussed the Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner before here, so I won’t babble on too much about it. But I love this! Definitely taught me how to do the cat eye with ease!

Last but certainly not least is the Stila Convertible colourin Lilium, if you are a regular reader of my blog; you’ll know I’m a lover of the good ‘ole cream blush. This shade is gorgeous and I think it’s perfect as we head into a new season!

So there you have it! My recent favourites. No doubt with the colder, wetter weather approaching I’ll be back with some winter favourites soon enough!

What have your recent favourites been?
