What's on my nails Wednesday : L'Oreal Colour Riche Nail Polish in Nouvelle Vague 851

Wow!

How long has it been since I last posted a #WOMNW post? In all honesty, my nails are still pretty damaged and disgusting, and I haven’t been doing an awful lot to sort them out, so it serves me right to be totally honest with you! Back to making this a regular spot on the blog I think!

So, because my nails are so horrendous, there’s no close ups here, but still, I think you can see how gorgeous the colour is. I bought this when I was browsing Superdrug last week, just to kill some time, so to be honest, I didn’t need another polish, but I don’t have a colour quite like this in my stash.

I absolutely love the pastel trend at the moment, but I really don’t think it compliments my zombie like pale skin. Pastels makes my skin look a bit yellow – is that just in my head? Anyway, this pastel lilac is bang on trend, a great summer staple and one I think I’ll be using in some nail art!  The pastels in L’Oreal’s Colour Riche range at the moment aren’t like any I’ve seen from other brands.  I was looking at their pastel yellow, which was stunning, but I knew it wouldn’t suit me at all.

The polish itself applies really smoothly and you only really need one coat, but without a top coat, it doesn’t last too long. I wouldn’t rely on this for a full weeks wear like I normally would with any other polish, but still, a stunning colour I will no doubt be reaching for throughout summer. My only other gripe with this is the tiny bottle – These are £4.99 and are half the size if not more of say a Models Own polish that you’d get for the same price. So quite expensive when you compare it to other brands!

While I’m sat here staring at my nails to think of what else I can tell you about the polish, I realised it reminds me a lot of one of my favourite polishes – Models Own Utopia! I think I’ll do a side by side comparison on Instagram and let you know if I’m right! You can follow me on insta by clicking the link in the side bar!

Thank you so much for reading!

I have loads more posts in the pipeline, so stay tuned!
