Yet again, Birchbox have out done themselves with an amazing April Box. In the previews, I was excited to see the mix of products and I was hoping to get my hands on the alm How 'bout them apples and the Lord & Berry eye liner, and yet again this month, I was lucky to receive exactly what i wanted!
I'm in holiday mode at the moment and the mini samples that I get in Birchboxes are perfect for traveling, and a couple of the products I got in this months box are ideal for me to take away! The thing I love about Birchbox is that they have a great mix of types of products - skincare, haircare and makeup with some known brands and some unknown. Something that pissed me off about Glossybox is that I'd receive a sample of a product only to find out that the full size is £89 for 30ml. I'd pretty much never spend that much, and I think Birchbox take this into account. They provide a nice mix of luxury and high street priced items, so if you wanted to buy the full size, you probably could afford to. But enough about my confirmed love of Birchbox, here's what I got in my box...
- Tommy Guns Pomegranate & Orange Flower Shampoo - 250ml Value - £5.50 (Full Size)
- One Love Organics Skin Saviour Waterless Beauty Balm - Value £4.28 (£30 Full Size)
- Lord & Berry Couture Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil £4 (£12 Full Size)
- Colour Club Nail Polish - Value £3.75 (£15 for 4)
- the Balm How 'bout them apples £3 Value (£26 for pallett of 6 full size)
- Lifestyle Extra - Proper Corn Sweet & Salty - 90p
Total Box Value = £21.43
I loved (nearly) all the products I received in this months box!
The Tommy Guns shampoo smells delicious and has gone straight into my travel bag - this will last me my holiday and then some I think! A massive sample!
The One Love Organics Skin Saviour Waterless Balm will also be going in my travel bag - you can use this as a cleanser or as a high intensity moisturiser. Ive been using it on my nose over night due to crustiness after a bad cold :( A little of this goes a long way too!
The Lord & Berry eye pencil is soooo cute! Its super black and smooth. I don't use eyeliners too much anymore, but I will definitely be adding this into my routine somewhere!
The colour club nail polish was a complete disappointment to be honest. I liked how Birchbox gave us the option of choosing which shade we wanted, and I was excited to try a polish I wouldn't have bought myself, but this is just rubbish. Although is its a one coat wonder, it chipped on multiple nails in less than 24 hours! I've never experienced this in a polish before. A complete let down. It wasn't the easiest to apply either, it was abit streaky.
The product I was most excited about was theBalm How 'Bout Them Apples mini cream and lip tint. I've seen quite a bit about this palette online, and I'm definitely considering buying the full size of this. This sample is soo mini - I was expecting it to be the size of just one of the pans in the palette, but it is more than half the size I expected. But to be honest, I rarely hit the pan with blushers anyway! I've tried this a couple of times on both my cheeks and my lips and a little really does go a long way. It sticks around too, which is brill! I love it!
The lifestyle extra of Propercorn was also nice - although I think ill be giving these to the other half!
Ill also be trying out one of the recipes on the cards they gave out with this months box!
