Revlon Colour Burst
Revlon Colour Burst Balm - £7.99
I'm sure I'm not the only one who was super jealous of all the bloggers out there who got to try these before release. I was itching to get my hands on these and as soon as they were released I headed to the shops!
I love the Revlon lip crayons, my favourite being 'Romantic', a gorgeous 1950's pin up red from last years range.
This year, Revlon launched two types of Colour Burst crayons - a matte balm and a lacquer balm - with the matte balm being the most anticipated one for me.
The choice of colours is amazing, but trying to be as kind to my purse as possible I only picked up two - one of each type of crayon.
In the Matte I picked up Elusive, a gorgeous pinky nude. On the lips, this is super creamy - not at all what you would expect from a matte lip colour. It's moisturising too as the name would suggest! The colour pay off is also really good, I didn't need multiple swipes of product to get the colour I desired. It also lasted really well, even aster eating and drinking, while some of the colour had come off, there was still a lovely blush to the lips.
In the lacquer version I picked up Demure, which is probably one of the lightest lip colours I own. This goes on really sheer which is prefect for me - I didn't want a harsh pink. It's easily build-able too which is good. I like this because it is really subtle, with a slight hint of shimmer. The main reason I like this is because its low maintenance. I don't have to worry about touch ups, or bleeding. I don't even need a mirror to apply it!
Out of the two, I would probably say that the matte formula is my favourite, as I don't have many other matte lip colours in my collection. But to be fair, they are both amazing!
Have you tried any of the range? What colours would you suggest I get?
