Cleansing revalation...

 No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser

I’ve never used this type of cleanser before. I really didn’t understand how they would work or benefit your skin at all – rubbing a cream onto your face while you already have makeup on? No thanks...

I imagined that it would clog up my pores, I thought it would leave my skin feeling dirty, congested and not properly cleaned, so I’ve never been bothered about trying one before.

My sister got me a No7 set for Christmas and this was one of the items in it. When I get new beauty products for Christmas, I need to mess and try them out immediately, so I’ve used this for a good couple of weeks now and have completely changed my mind about this type of cleanser.

I use a pump of this and massage it into my face – this alone is amazing, a mini facial each morning & night relaxes me and makes blood rush to my cheeks, making my skin look fresh and hydrated. I then soak the muslin cloth in hot water (as hot as I can stand) and slap this on my face. I rest like this for 20-30 seconds to let my pores open and to help the product melt away my makeup, then I lightly massage the product using the cloth. The end result – my face feels squeaky clean, smooth and moisturised and looks healthy.

I was amazed at how good my skin looked after the first, and how easily my makeup came off while using this. I have to go back in with some eye makeup remover to get rid of some mascara afterwards (but that came in the set too!) I think this is my new favourite way of removing my make-up. I already have my eye on the body shop camomile balm cleanser as I’ve heard a lot about it, but only when this one runs out!

Have you used balm cleansers before? Which ones would you recommend?

  1. ohhhh my!!!!! I want to try this - however I do put on quite alot of makeup...so would the cloth become mucky? Does the cloth clean well? I wouldn't want it clogged up with makeup after a few uses..I would be more likely to use this after taking my make up off for a more clean result on me...I am going to try this...just taken a pic to remind me to purchase! Its going on my Pinterest 'To Try' album now! :) x

  2. I love this stuff! I always get it when I get one of the No7 Vouchers so it doesn't seem too pricy.
It makes my skin feel so clean afterwards!

  4. Emma! If you want to try another AMAZING hot cloth cleanser I recommend the Liz Earle one. I have been using it for years and I <3 it! It smells gorgeous and leaves your skin feeling fab too. Even better when followed with her moisturiser haha. Next time you're treating yourself I would say to give it a go! it's mint haha. xxx
