Creating a healthy glow has always been something I have struggled with, as I never understood how to do it without using a Bronzer. For me, bronzer is a no-go area - I really can't get it to work on my super pale skin, no matter how lightly or strategically I apply it, I feel like a drag queen with it on!
I have used 'luminising' foundations in the past and found that the only limo musing quality they have are noticeable chunks if glitter mixed in with the formula and it makes your face look like a glitter ball when the light hits it! The glitter sat in my pores, which really arnt all that big, making a small problem area look massive. I'll think you'll agree, that's not a good look.
I try to stay out of the sun as much as I can, so a natural glow hasn't been something I can get with ease either, so when I saw Avon Luminous Finish in a recent catalogue, I thought I'd give it a try.
The product is a gold/pearl colour with some metallic shimmer, but no big glitter chunks which is brilliant!! I wasn't sure how to use this at first, so stuck to using it as a highlighter on my brow bone and cheekbones which in fairness did give a glow! It helped to give a dewy effect to my face, but the cream formula didn't seem to stick around for the full day...
I decided to mix some of this with my regular foundation and I absolutely loved the results! Generally, my face looked brighter and healthier and the effect stuck around all day!
I topped this off with ELF's Gotta Glow - a white shimmer powder on my cheek bones for a little extra luminosity.
I think this is a great technique for pale skin and I'll be wearing this combination for a while!
I bought this for around £6 from Avon!
