Philip Kingsley Elasticizer

This has to be one of the best, but most difficult to describe hair masks I've used in a long time. I received this in a Glossybox a while ago and I've had a fair few uses out of this 40ml sample size bottle.

The story behind the Elasticizer is that it's creator, Philip Kingsley made it for Audrey Hepburn who wanted a product that could nourish and care for her hair after all the trauma of styling and colouring it.

I wasn't too excited to use this when it came in my Glossybox, the packaging didn't entice me and the claim of elasticity just confused me, but one pamper Sunday, I thought I'd give it a try.

You use this pre-shampoo, and a 50p sized amount is more than enough. I use this all over, but focus more on the ends of my hair as these are the most colour damaged, dry bits of my hair. I leave it on for anything from 10 minutes to 20 minutes and wash as condition as normal, but straight from the shower I couldnt see much that this product had done for my hair. That was until I got around to blow drying.

This is where it gets difficult to describe and you would really have to try it on your own hair to fully understand, but this really did Elasticize my hair! If you have colour treated hair, you will know how brittle and easy it is to snap the ends of your hair, especially when brushing and blow drying, but this product really gave my hair strength, massively reducing breakage and bizzarly enough I really did feel like I had extra length to my hair! It felt nourished, smooth and had reduced the look of my split ends.

The only down side to this product is the price. For 75mls of product it is £15 - (currently on sale at Feel Unique for £11.25) which I do think is expensive, but to some extent I really do think you get what you pay for, because this is the best hair mask I have ever tried. Ever.

My sample size was 40mls and although I don't use it as often as I'd like (every week if I could) I've still had about 8 treatments out of it, with about 2/3 left in the bottle too, so it really does last.
