Avon Mega Effects Mascara

You may have seen this floating around the beauty blog world, the Avon Mega Effects Mascara!

It is due to be launched in the next catalogue and my Avon rep, knowing how much I love to try new things, gladly gave me the opportunity to try this before it's release.

I had seen pictures of this on instagram and when I opened this with my order, it looked alot different. For some reason, I was expecting it to be massive, but it's size is quite perfect actually.

A pink cap sits snugly over the top of the wand, to protect the wand from pulling out and the wand sits in the bottom tub of the mascara where the product is kept. The bottom is slightly squidgy, i assume for you to release more product when you start running out. Take my advice, DON'T SQUIDGE. I did this and this resulted in toooo much product going on the want, and the way excess isn't brilliant. but after a bit of scraping on the side of the barrel, I managed to get the excess off.

Other than the one issue of excess product, I really like this mascara!  I didn't think i would, i thought it was a gimmick to make you buy it just to try and it will disappear as soon as it arrived, but this really is something to rave about. The whole concept of having a wand along the length of the brush rather than at the end really did confuse me and my first application didn't exactly run smooth (trying to figure out hand angles that worked!) but this is exactly what my lashes needed, something that lifts and curls my lashes during the application by the upward motion you are forced to do with this wand.

With most mascaras I initially HATE the formula, as they are often too wet for me to get the product to do what i want without smudging. I have to say, I love the formula. Ive had no smudging, flaking or fading at all, although while getting used to it, I did manage to paint my eyelid in the stuff!

I would really recommend you try this for yourself! If you don't have an Avon rep, comment and I will send you the details of mine!
